You can select a metafile to open the properties in the Property Inspector. The Type field indicates the metafile type. If any additional information is available regarding the metafile, it is reported in the Description field. Number of records contains the number of metafile records. These records tell MapViewer how to display the metafile. The size of the metafile is reported in the Size in bytes field. If a metafile has been broken apart, the individual drawing properties are displayed in the Property Inspector.
