A polygon is a closed boundary that can use optional fill properties, and a primary ID that is used to link the area to a value in a data file. Polygons are sometimes referred to as areas. Areas can be imported from boundary files, or drawn using the Draw | Shape | Polygon and Draw | Shape | Spline Polygon commands.
