The Street Map Options dialog allows you to select a portion of a Golden Software Street [.STR] file to import as a base map. Use File | Import or Map | Base Map, select a [.STR] file, and check the Specify import options box to open the Street Map Options dialog. Note that if you select one [.STR] file in a folder, all [.STR] files in the folder are available in the Street Map Options dialog.
County
If the folder for the selected file contains multiple [.STR] files, a list counties is listed in the Pick a county to load list. Click on a county name to select it.
IDs and Hyperlinks
You can select a primary ID, secondary ID, attribute 1 ID, attribute 2 ID, or hyperlink for the streets.
The options are:
Street name
Street type
Odd street number range
Even street number range
ZIP code for odd street number
ZIP code for even street number
None
Append to Existing Image
Check the Append to existing image box to append the existing and imported boundaries are placed in the correct relative positions. The map is rescaled so all the boundaries, existing and imported, fit on the page.
Map Subsets
The entire county is drawn if Entire county is selected in the Load list. You can load a subset of a county map by selecting A portion of a county from the Load list. Choose Towns or ZIP codes from the By list and then select the towns or ZIP codes in the list below.
Road Properties
Each road type can have different line and font properties. You can double-click on a line or font sample to open the Line Properties or Text Properties dialogs. If you would like to change all the line or font properties, click the Line or Font buttons at the top of the columns.
